Old Business:

Last Friday's Game - Issues with ice.  We spent $50 on ice.  Couldn't we get it from the school cafeteria?  Someone heard it was broken.  Discussed possible donation of ice from a vendor.  Sharon m. will look into having someone donate 400 lbs of ice - to be called.  James m. may be able to get some ice from the 1st Baptist Church.

Suggested improvements - Concessions, Boosters would like to be able to leave items/supplies in the concession stand.  We can't, other groups use the stand.  OSHA prohibits storage near water heater.

New Business

Booster Fees

Booster fees are $5 for the year.  They must be paid by October to be able to vote in November.  Make checks out to “Coronado Band Boosters” with “Booster Fees” written in the memo section.  These fees give you voting rights at meetings.

CHARMS website

Some people report having trouble getting into the Charms site.  Melinda went through the basics.  Volunteer area of Charms tells detail of jobs and descriptions and allows for sign ups.

Alumni Band

Sharon Morgan discussed.  Homecoming is October 9th and all alumni are invited to play the fight song on the field for Pre-Game.  Info on the website.  Need to register.  Music and fingering charts on the website.  Spread the Word!  Also a fundraiser, selling t-shirts for the event.

Fundraisers

D. Nemitz, Rome's Restaurant – Willing to do fundraiser for the month of October.  Any ticket over $15 they will donate 15% to the band.  Dina and Daniel will confirm details and post.

Senior Picture -Dina N. wants to get all seniors together to put a page in the yearbook for the seniors.

Fry’s – Gift cards are available with $5 already on them. Recently received a check for almost $400 for the band.  This is an easy fundraiser we should all be supporting.

Red/Blue envelopes Fundraiser - received $97.00 more on Friday night.

Xtraman Fundraising.com - Mlee and Keith were contacted to promote discount dining cards for the band.  We would choose the restaurants in our area that students frequent.  We get $7 for every $10 card we sell.  Cards can be customized with Logo or photo.

Cookbook fundraiser- Melinda, Morris Press, Various styles of books. $7 - $15 each.  Minimum purchase (guaranteed sales).  Can have customized dividers.  Add our recipes, nothing copyrighted.  Take 8-10 weeks to process.  Would need to hurry to get by Christmas.  Could limit what was inside based on topics including desserts and salads.  Melinda C will lead effort.  Could call Don's Delights.  Motion to accept moving forward with cookbooks Susie Riddlebarger second by Melinda C. Motion carried.

Blow up theater screen - Keith, Keith brought up another fundraising idea utilizing a portable/inflatable movie screen for outdoor movies.  Would split 60/40 with vendor, we could sell concessions and possibly labeled water bottles.

We sill have 15 sheets of Malimine left over from the uniform cabinets.  john made a motion to sell them for $15 per sheet via the web site.  Sharon second and the motion carried.  John will put on the website.

James suggested we act carefully with our fundraisers.  Our mail fundraiser (Blue and Red) could suffer if we do not focus our efforts.  general discussion decision is to sell Cookbooks only at this time (With the Blue/red fundraiser)
