Business:

Jessica Wingit _ Discussion on selling stuff at the Homecoming tailgate.  Need to get approval Student Government approval and determine what if anything to sell.  If we did hot dogs we would have to have a food handlers permit, unless we did it as a donation and not sell them outright.  We could just do soda and/or water.  More to come.

We need to spread the word about the Alumni Band playing for Homecoming.  the group is getting larger.  the more the better.  Currently have 30 people registered.  Registration form is on the website.  there is an alumni band page.

Bob I. has built stands for the equipment truck, but still needs to add supports.  They will be ready by next weekend.

There was a discussion around the concessions so far this year.  The board is recommending that we have 2 people work outside since we do the set up and takedown. We will start taking down the machines at halftime to be cleaned.  Will get a large supply first, so they can be sold into the 3rd quarter.
PTO wants to control the Concession Stand health permit, we would pay a portion of the total and other groups would be allowed to use the concession stand and pay a permit fee to the PTO.  The board did not feel that that was what we would want to do and we recommend against it.  We will keep control of the permitting process.
We will set up a meeting with the Football Boosters and PTO to discuss the concession stand.  James Mitchell has agreed to attend the meeting and be the spokesperson for the Band Boosters.  One item that needs to be discussed is the profit sharing and workload balancing.

Ice is going to be donated for the concession stand.  We will bag the ice that is going to be used for consumption.  The other ice that is used to keep items cold will be stored in ice chests.  We will get information to Kathy on the donor to provide recognition and a Thank You note.

Fundraisers:

We need more recipes for the Recipe book fundraiser.  We currently only have 15 recipes and need a minimum of 250-300.  There was discussion on if we needed picture releases for pictures used in the books.  Not sure how to find out who has signed release forms.  Melinda will check with Lori at Coronado.  After further discussion it was decided we were to late to get the book published before Christmas.  We will continue to push for the recipes and try for early next year.

Flika has said that he will help us.  Again, we need to let him know what we need.

Scottsdale Fall Festival is Oct 31st.  We have been in contact with Dave Miller from the City of Scottsdale and will be a vendor this year.  We will investigate food options with Flickas, but will for sure do Popcorn and Cotton Candy.

Rome's Restaurant - They have offered to do a fundraiser over a months period (October), we will have a coupon we can use and they will provide a donation of 15% of any bill over 15 dollars.  Melinda will work with them around the logistics.
