Welcome to The Coronado High
School Band Program of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Coronado High School is a public,
four-year secondary school which is part of the Scottsdale Unified
School District. Scottsdale is a city of over 200,000 in the
northeast area of the Valley of the Sun. The student population
at Coronado High School is approximately 1250. Coronado is proud to maintain a reputation of
excellence musically, athletically and academically within a diverse
environment.
The Coronado High School Marching Band has experienced great
success. With a Superior rating at the Arizona State Marching Band
Competition, the 43 member Marching Band has come a long way to make
their school proud.
The Concert Band Program at Coronado High
School consists of approximately 60 students in the ninth through
twelfth grades. The program is broken up into three parts:
Concert/Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and Percussion. The combined
group rehearses outside the school day to prepare for adjudication
and concert performances.
The Coronado High School Wind Ensemble, is
under the direction of Dr. Schultz Bennett. The ensemble has earned
Superior awards at festivals during the 2005-2006 school year.
