Marching Band Uniform and Concert Bands Wardrobe Information

Marching Band Uniform:              
Students are issued a school-owned uniform that includes a coat, jumpsuit, gauntlets, and a shako hat to wear for marching performances.  The uniform is kept at school in between football games and other performances.  Students are responsible for dry cleaning expenses, Marching Band Uniform approx  $30.00.

Concert Band Wardrobes:
Students are issued a school-owned Tuxedo and Dresses to be worn during performances.   Students are responsible for dry cleaning expenses Tuxedo and Dresses Dry Cleaning approx. $10.00-$20.00

ALTERATIONS:         
Uniform Fitting will be performed at school.

ACCESSORIES:        
All students are required to purchase marching shoes, socks, and gloves to wear with their uniform.  The following are estimated Accessory costs:

Gloves:                          $3.00-$5.00 per pair     
Socks:                            $3.00 per pair
Flip book and
marching music holder  $5.00

SHOES:                   
White Drill Master shoes are the Coronado High School standard.  They are sized the same as a well-fitting dress shoe.  The Band has loaner shoes in all sizes that will be used during uniform fitting to help assure a proper fit.  Shoes will be ordered at the end of fitting and will be arriving at school approximately 2 weeks later.  The cost for shoes is $35.00.  If you receive shoes that don’t fit, they will be exchanged at no additional cost.

 T-SHIRTS:               
The Marching Band t-shirt is required for all band days (football games and marching competitions).  One Marching Band T-shirt is included in the price of Band Camp.  Additional t-shirts will be available at a cost of $12 each.  Students who do not attend Band Camp are required to purchase the t-shirt prior to the first football game. 

PAYMENTS:           
All accessories (except shoes) will be available for pick up before or after the first performance.  Please come prepared to pay for necessary accessories (including shoes) with a check or cash.

Admission to football games for family and friends
Band Booster membership

How to Measure    
 

Clothing
When measuring, keep tape snug but not tight.

 

Head:

Measure around the largest part of the head, with tape above brow. Convert hat size using the table.


Neck:

Measure around the base of the neck allowing for a comfortable fit, or measure a shirt collar that fits you well. To measure a shirt, lay collar flat and measure from button to button hole at the far end.


Chest/Bust:

With arms relaxed at sides, measure around the largest part of the chest or fullest part of the bust and shoulder blades.


Sleeves:

Measure from center back at neck base along shoulder and down arm to wrist with a slightly bent elbow.

Waist:

Measure around waist at narrowest point. If between sizes, order next larger size.

Hips:

Measure around hips at fullest point while standing.

Inseam:

Measure from base of crotch down inside of leg to desired pant length.

 

 

         ** We would like inseam measurement to go to the floor (no shoes).
